My name is Elizabeth White, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. My private practice is located in Newport Beach, California.
My experience with substance abuse is extensive, and is focused on working with adolescents who are dealing with identity issues and parents who are struggling with behavioral and educational concerns. All families have conflict, but underlying this is the opportunity for strong and supportive relationships where respect is central. My strengths include developing realistic goals that support individual and familial relationships in reaching a place of understanding, and developing the skills to enhance interactions.
I have worked with adolescents, individuals and families in residential, outpatient, and community-strengthening capacities. My practical experience is diverse; teaching daily coping skills to area youth involved in diversion programs, leading young women’s groups, working with teachers and students in an educational environment, and meeting with families in their homes.
I have also had the opportunity to manage an outpatient program in Southern California and coach and train counselors on how to best approach working with at-risk youth and their families. I enjoy utilizing experiential methods and believe in approaching situations holistically. The impact of finding balance in Mind, Body and Spirit is incredible. Taking the time to discover who you are and developing the skills to support your goals is the best gift you can offer yourself.
